Best

The best thing about my job is the variety of work and the chance to learn new skills when in the different placements (Planning, Estimating, Reporting, Risk, Document Control, Safety)

Worst

The worst part of the job can be tight deadlines and detailed data work, which can be challenging at times, especially when learning something new but it helps build strong organisation and problem‑solving skills.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £23,000 - £25,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

I would advise candidates to research National Gas and the role, show a genuine interest in project controls, and clearly explain why they want to learn and develop in the industry

I would advise candidates to prepare examples, understand what project controls involves, and be honest about their skills and willingness to learn. Staying calm, confident, and enthusiastic during the interview makes a big difference.
