What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

You never feel as though you can't ask for help if you are struggling with anything. At the start of the apprenticeship, you ask lots of people about lots of issues. As time progresses, so does the level of responsibility that you take on.

Worst

It can be difficult to fit in all of the work that is required for University on top of working full days, 4 days a week. University work can eat into weekends regularly and sometimes, specific tasks may be prioritised over others to ensure that the topics are understood.

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Don't be afraid of applying. I think that for most applicants, this will be the first formal job application/interview process. It is difficult to know what to expect or to feel as though you will succeed however if you complete the application form to the best of your ability, that is the first step to progressing and reaching the next stage in the process. You never know what might have been if you don't apply.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be yourself. The interviewers are looking for someone that they can see fitting into the firm. The academics required will be firmly on your mind but the interviewers are looking beyond that. Grades speak for themselves but you need to do the same. Speak for yourself to demonstrate how you could fit in with the brand of the specific firm.
