What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

There is a website which is run by trainees called Spilling the Beans with loads of helpful advice and blogs about applications and what life is like at the firm. I think it is really important to be able to talk about why you want to join the firm because I think Grant Thornton does distinguish itself from other accountancy firms.

Do you have any interview tips?

Grant Thornton has recently introduced a new digital interview process instead of the telephone interview. I think it is good to prepare for this by reading about other peoples' experience of doing this previously. A lot of the interview questions are based around the firm competencies - the CLEARR values, so I think it is important to understand what these are and be able to think of examples of how you have demonstrated those skills.
