What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

The best thing about my job is how varied every day is due to the amount of responsibility graduates are given in each department. We are allowed to micro-manage our own projects, so each day you will have a variety of different tasks to do, gaining a real depth of new skills and experiences.

Worst

The worst part about my job is probably how intense the work is. A lot is expected of you as a graduate in the company; you will be busy all the time. If you take pride in your work and take every training and progression chance available you may feel quite overwhelmed.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £23,000 - £25,000

Current salary: £23,000 - £25,000

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Make it interesting - HR receive lots of applications so you should make yours stand out. If you have little industry experience, talk about your hobbies and why you think that would make you fit well into the company or why you are passionate about house building, as after all, you gain most of the skills you need on the job.

Do you have any interview tips?

Be yourself most of all.
My next piece of advice is to be prepared, read relevant government policies on housing and environment to make sure you are in the loop with current UK events in the industry. Subscribing to journals can also be a benefit.
