What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Variety. You will get to peer inside lots of different businesses and industries, use lots of different technologies and solve lots of different problems. Don't like a project? You'll be done in 6 months and know what to avoid in future.

Worst

Without experience getting a project can be somewhat difficult. They'll try to keep supplying you with work, but being the least skilled you are the least useful. Don't disregard work outside your unit as useless and keep in contact with people who are likely to get the projects you want to work on.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Current salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Start: 08:30

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

Personal projects (especially ones relating to skills asked for in the job description) are a great way to flesh out short CVs. They're not looking for everything on the list but you should at least know what everything means and have done research on it.

Do you have any interview tips?

It's an assessment day with a chance to ask both HR and someone in your field questions. There's a 1-2-1 interview and a team assessment as well. The hardest question I was asked was something like "Can you give me an example of a time when you've used enterprise data management tools?" or something similar. I didn't understand what it meant and the interviewer could only explain the question so much (for reference examples of databases, data visualisation or ETL tools were what he was looking for).

Everyone is very nice, they'll give you time to think and don't pressure you.
