What are the Best and Worst things about your job?

Best

Travel - you'll likely work all around the country, and have opportunities to work abroad. The expense policy is fair, you have enough allowance for decent accommodation and meals out.

Flexible working - Can depend on the client you're working with, but a lot of roles allow for working from home/base location regularly, which helps balance out the travel.

Work/Life balance - I'm able to leave work at the office at 5.30, there's not been any creep into my personal time. A lot of projects have been very accommodating with travel, allowing late starts/ early finishes on days when you travel.

Worst

Travel - It's not for everyone to be away from home Monday-Friday.

Fluctuating demand - If there's no demand from clients for junior talent you might not be able to use the exact skills/technologies you'd hoped until a role becomes available. Seems to get better as you become more experienced and easier to place with clients.

What is the annual salary for this role?

Starting salary: £29,000 - £31,000

Current salary: £31,000 - £33,000

What hours do you actually work, on average?

Start: 09:00

Finish: 17:30

What advice would you give to someone applying to this role?

The graduate scheme isn't rigidly structured, you're in charge of your own progression for the most part, so try and mention how you've set yourself goals in your professional/personal life.

Do you have any interview tips?

They're looking for you to be someone they'd want to work with. The interview tasks don't necessarily have a right answer, but they want to see how well you participate in meetings/manage time etc.
