At Fujitsu, we take Responsible Business seriously. It’s part of everything we do. That’s why, as part of our Apprentice Programme, each apprentice takes part in a ‘Responsible Business Challenge’.

Apprentices are put together in small groups with other apprentices and given £1 per group. Over the course of a few weeks, we task the apprentices to invest the £1 to raise as much money as possible for our charity partner in the UK. The challenge is designed to get apprentices quickly work together as a team, design and manage a plan, work out and manage budgets, navigate your way through stakeholders and communicate to them.

We’re always incredibly impressed with our teams, who come up with some innovate ways of investing and raising money, such as sponsored 24 hour game-a-thons, car washes, making their own chocolate bars with golden tickets inside, gunge your manager and other fantastic events. Last year, from only £12 (twelve teams), our apprentices raised over £4000 through a variety of events all over the UK. If you decide to start your career with us, you’ll get to take part in the same challenge. Not only raising important funds for our charity partner, but learning new skills along the way, and more importantly, having fun!

The challenge accumulates in a final event where each group presents back to senior stakeholders about what they have achieved, and we award prizes to the top performing teams.
