My advice would be to show a balance of professionalism and personality. People at Boots are very friendly and approachable, so you need to seem like you'll fit in the team. However, you also have to show that you're capable of doing a good job, and would take your responsibilities seriously, as you will be trusted with a lot of responsibility on the graduate scheme. It's also good to show that you'd be passionate about the brand and our products.
Interview Advice:

Be yourself. If being positive, open and honest is something you find difficult, you will find your time here incredibly wearing as they are difficult characteristics to fake. The culture isn't for everyone (it can be considered slightly less formal than a traditional corporation,) and you should pay this serious consideration.
Interview Advice:
Be honest. They appreciate that you probably haven't had any similar experiences before and that you will have a lot to learn when you arrive. It is your openess and receptiveness to this that is important. Relax, they genuinely want to see who you are and what you are like. It's in your interest to show them that, as actually it may be that you would not 'settle in' to the culture. It's better to know that from the Assessment Day (by really experiencing it) than 4 weeks in to role and you are not enjoying it.
Finance Graduate, Finance at BootsRead the full review »
Application Advice:
Be yourself! Boots is a company that wouldn't work for everybody - it attracts like minded people. There is an emphasis on do what is right for you, having spoken to the CEO he is keen for everybody to be happy and that doesn't necessarily mean Boots for everyone. Accept that everyone is different and do what is right for you.
If you choose that to be Boots, then the company will support you more than you can imagine which is fantastic.
It is important for this application to be personable and sociable. The skills you require for the role will be developed once you are within the company but a personality fit is essential to work well with others.
Interview Advice:
Be prepared.
The interview is more of an informal chat around your CV so don't worry about that part at all as the interviewers were all lovely and put you at ease.
For the negitotation task and pain relief assessment task, you will need to prep before. Make sure you have a wider business knowledge as well but make sure it is a genuine interest and not just reading to sound like you've swotted up.
