What are the best and worst things about your company?
Lots of opportunity to get stuck into work straight away and to be given a task of my own to complete. The level of technical knowledge needed to do a good job of a task can be extensive, and what can be a 20 minute task for someone else, can take much longer for me. This is mainly only a problem if my workload is extensive and deadlines are short - normally, though it just means I get up to speed in the job quicker.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The work is interesting and engaging, with many opportunities to learn; the BoE offers great benefits and work-life balance; the atmosphere is very supportive with great colleagues who are genuinely interested and motivated by the work.Career and pay progression can plateau after several years; very steep hierarchy with many layers of sign-off to go through to get anything done; organization can be very risk-adverse at times.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Very interesting work, scope to develop your technical skills (econometrics, data analysis and visualisation, modelling, etc.), ability to impact policy and see the process, helpful and highly intelligent colleagues, onsite gym and subsidised canteen, good pension, good opportunities to take external courses, pretty good hours most of the time and lots of flexibility (ability to work from home). Lower base pay and pay progression is slower than comparable graduate roles, takes longer to gain responsibility than some other jobs. Work is subject to significant review and revision.
