What are the best and worst things about your company?
- The culture within Boots: everyone is supportive and friendly, which creates a positive working atmosphere. - Opportunities for progression: development and progression is encouraged and supported by managers. Training for a variety of different things is available and extensive. - Level of responsibility: from day one you are encouraged to make your own decisions, there is a level of freedom and trust within this. - Opportunities to work abroad are currently quite limited, being mainly based at the Nottingham Support Office. Although this is work in progress and will likely improve as the business continues to expand. - Facilities at the Nottingham Support Office can sometimes be a hindrance, particularly meeting rooms if not booked weeks in advance.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Graduates are given real responsibilities and the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills in a warm and supportive environment. The training is first class and there is a lot of time invested in the individual and their development needs. Graduates regularly have access to senior stakeholders and are encouraged to share their thoughts and opinions, driving change throughout the organisation. Although improving, opportunities for international travel have been limited to date.

Fast-paced and exciting. You get to impact real change! Real responsibility. There is a meetings culture at Boots - lots of meetings to discuss change, it is the role of a graduate to actually proactively make this change happen and keep the project moving.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The travel and mobility - I have been lucky enough to travel extensively in my role and also to relocate based on the area of the business I am working in, including an international secondment. Variety - on the Finance Graduate scheme I have had 4 roles in 4 different entities and areas. This has been very interesting and due to cultural differences has been like working for completely different businesses. Exposure to senior decision-makers. My roles on the scheme have put me close to some very inspiring leaders day-to-day, and this has allowed me to observe decision-making at the higherst levels. Full study support included for ACA or CIMA.Relocation isn't as fully supported as it could be for how often it is required. It doesn't always feel like a global company.
