What are the best and worst things about your company?
Working at Brightsource you'll be with great people in a really nice open plan office environment. On top of an interesting and varied working day there is a great social scene so even if you're moving from a distance you'll soon settle in well.Busy periods can be very busy, but that's probably true of everywhere!

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Good balance of independence/ownership of projects vs. support from colleagues. Really nice atmosphere to work in; everyone's willing to help, which is important for the steep learning curve.Heavy workload; don't expect a 9 to 5 job.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
I love the company culture, the people are very friendly and get on well with each other. My job as a web developer is very exciting and you get to learn something new everyday.Time critical projects may require long hours at the office

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Brightsource trust their employees to take on real projects and live work form day one. Learning on the job and clear mentoring means that any newbie feels encouraged and supported in their work. This lends itself to a real 'team effort' mentality.Because of the nature of the work, there is pressure to deliver lots of projects (often at the same time). Take this job if you know how to juggle because it can be tricky to manage!

What are the best and worst things about your company?
- Client exposure from day one. - Empowered to solve problems yourself, but with collaborative support from the wider team if required. - There's always fresh challenges as the company grows and develops at a very quick pace. - Intensity/ quantity of work load can be very high at times. Good if you thrive in a high pressure environment. - There is emphasis on 'learning through doing'. This culture, coupled with busy workload means you can be out of your comfort zone. This can be stressful.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Level of ownership we're given. From early on you are given a lead role and responsibility on the work you do with your client. This is coupled with an ethos whereby everyone helps each other and is open to being asked questions.Flat company structure.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Independence and real live work - facing constant challenges yet having a supportive and skilled team behind you to back up actions and decisions. Worst thing is the amount to learn, starting from the very bottom!

What are the best and worst things about your company?
-Great benefits (Good salary, Summer/Christmas Parties, Wellbeing week, Free Fruit!) -Friendly atmosphere - Everyone is always happy to give you time to help whenever needed. -Given responsibility early - I was lead PM on a client within 6 months. I have since been able to develop strong relationships with a variety of clients and feel empowered to help them no matter what their needs are. -The company is growing rapidly and into an exciting area of technological innovations and there is an emphasis on filling emerging roles internally where possible Annual Charity Challenge - Last year it was a trek in Peru, this year it is a cycle challenge from New York to Niagara. The company part-fund the trip and give the participants 3 extra days holiday.-Internal communication can sometimes be slightly ineffective. -We have evolved from times where work load rose and fell in a cyclical nature throughout the year. Currently workload is high pretty much constantly but the company is about to undergo a fairly hefty restructure to re-align our resource.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
The best thing, without a doubt, is the people. There's such a great spirit of teamwork at Brightsource and you never feel like a nuisance or a burden to anybody - no matter how often you have to ask the same stupid question! Everyone is so lovely and accepting and eager to help, always offering assistance but not in a patronising way. Brightsource also really facilitates your learning - there's always a new opportunity to get involved with something new and exciting, and nobody ever acts like you're too young/inexperienced to help out. Everybody's opinion is valued. Balancing multiple workloads at once can be challenging, and often requires working late hours in order to stay on top of everything. You're thrown straight into the deep end at Brightsource, which is a bit of a double edged sword. It's great to have all that responsibility, and there's never a dull moment, but it can feel pretty overwhelming (especially if you've just come from doing 4 hour weeks at uni!). Once you do manage to get on top of everything though, the feeling of job satisfaction is really fantastic.
