What are the best and worst things about your company?
Very people focused. Employee engagement is high on the agenda for Unipart and this is really evident through the graduate scheme. The focus on development and opportunities tailored to the individual is a real strong point for Unipart.Benefits associated to the job is not as strong as other companies - e.g. company cars, mileage rates, private healthcare.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
- Opportunity for growth - Exposure to some VERY well known companies - Senior Management take time out to invest in graduates - Great buy in of the graduate scheme from CEO down - Graduate community both on and off the program which is willing to help and support each other - Placement roles are often operating at very senior level - If you go the extra mile and work hard it WILL get noticed!- I've had to move 4 times for all four placements - All graduates leave the scheme on same salary and pay

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Unipart is a multi-national company built around a strong set of innate core values. This makes working for the Group highly rewarding as there's a clear set of objectives that transcend from senior management right through to the warehouse shop floor. A key principle within these values is how the company looks after its employee's. Firstly, the business benefits from a decentralised management structure, empowering employees at all levels to own their area's and solve problems at their own level. This is highly rewarding both from an employee's point of view but also for myself, as part of the Graduate Scheme. As a Graduate, it's made clear from day one that your role is to coach, champion and empower employee's to achieve the best possible while embarking on your management training journey. Unipart invest highly in the graduate scheme so alongside your day-to-day training they provide presentation courses, lean principle training and there's also a graduate coach on hand all the time to deal with any concerns. During induction, Unipart put together a thorough and very rewarding development plan to get you up to speed with how the company operates. The only downfall of this was it resulted in multiple nights spent away from home. Some may see this as a negative, however my experience of this was it provided the perfect opportunity to bond with my fellow graduates.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
- Exposure to senior management and networking opportunities across the company. - Support from senior management for the graduate scheme is amazing, from Day 1 you're made to feel you can approach anyone. - Development encouraged and coaching support provided. - Graduates from previous years really keen to help, probably the best support you can get as they've done it before you. - A chance to be involved in the growth of the company. - Lots of investment in the graduate scheme, training provided early on which will be valuable for the rest of your career (e.g CMT presentation training, Myers-Briggs ) - Induction month. One massive learning road trip (literally, lots of driving). You get to see lots of Unipart sites and meet lots of people working in different business units. Plus you get to bond with the rest of the grads on your intake as you basically live and work together for a month before heading off on individual placements. - Uncertainty about placements. Placements work on a 5/6 month basis throughout the 2 year scheme, and sometimes you don't know your next placement until the week before you start. Support is provided however in terms of location. - Shiftwork! Can be a blessing or a curse. Depends on your placement (only happens in Operations, maybe Consulting depending on client). Support provided though. - Prepare to drive A LOT if you don't live near Oxford or the Midlands, especially in the induction month. -'Graduate' label. Be prepared to prove yourself, not everyone will appreciate the opportunities you get.
