What are the best and worst things about your company?
- High calibre colleagues who are all great to work with. The firm puts a good deal of effort into ensuring a good fit during the recruitment process. - Early exposure to high level work on the minds of CEOs and other board level executives that is rare elsewhere. - Thorough training ensures that you have robust foundations in business strategy and corporate finance that positions you well for your future career, whether at Marakon or elsewhere. - No expectations of 'face time'; completing work efficiently and to a high standard carries far more weight than hours spent at the office. Work/life balance is consequently fairly reasonable for the consulting industry.- Unpredictable hours and travel requirements. The company is on the whole quite reasonable and accommodating when it comes to work/life balance, but inevitably, changing project requirements will dictate your hours and travel schedule. - Our small size can be a constraint on the variety of options you have for future projects. Similarly, our industry coverage is good for a firm of our size, but is more limited compared to larger consultancies.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Great colleagues; Strong strategic focus providing very interesting assignments; Global reach: working in an international environment with often multinational companies.Due to small firm size less optionality regarding projects; Brand value of the job as some may not know Marakon - even though those who do have always, in my experience, appreciated the company a lot.

What are the best and worst things about your company?
Marakon has a real focus on corporate strategy projects, which is hard to get in the industry these days as most firms have diversified. You get responsibility early - you can expect to be working directly with senior colleagues and clients from the off, which is the best way to develop. As a smaller firm there isn't the same level of project diversity at a large firm.
