Mace Limited

Mobilisation Coordinator, Macro – Facilities at Mace Limited

Application Advice: Spend time on your application form, research the company and showcase your enthusiasm, abilities and experience. Make sure you mention your extra-circular activities if you can!

Interview Advice: Prepare numerous examples of experience. I based mine on Mace's core values (six at the time - Safety First, Second Nature, Client Focus, Integrity, Pursuit of a Better Way, Opportunity and One Mace). Then additional examples such as sales experience, using your initiative, and your strengths and weaknesses (weakness is a tough one, but look at what it is and how to are attempting to tackle it). Look smart, smile, eye contact, be confident (even if you're not on the inside!). Most importantly, be yourself - show them who you are.

Application Advice: Any relevant experience is a good thing to have when applying, so make sure you include this if you have it. Always relate the skills you have to the job you are applying for. Be relevant to the application... far too often people tend to waive away from the relevance of the question or subject.

Interview Advice: Be prepared. Brush up on the necessary skills you think you could be asked about. Make sure you have examples of instances where you have worked well in a team, how you overcame a problem etc... all of those questions that you may expect to be asked. Confidence is key... just act yourself.
